These are the 10 Best Harmattan Clothes you Should Own and Wear During Harmattan
1. Long Sleeves Shirts
The most important harmattan clothes you should wear during this harmattan are long sleeve shirts. These shirts cover up your skin preventing dryness and direct exposure to the sun. It’s also easy to wear as you can remove it when the weather gets hot.
As such, it is advisable to wear long-sleeved shirts, jackets, blazers, etc. with an inner T-shirt to provide ease of removal when it gets hot.
2. Turtleneck Shirts
Turtleneck shirts are currently in vogue in varying beautiful colours. Wearing one makes you look fashionable with the extra advantage of providing warmth to your neck. You should consider buying one.
3. Cardigans and Sweaters
Cardigans are the most popular harmattan clothes. This is the best time to keep them handy. If you don’t have any, then you should get one.
While getting sweaters, you should be conscious of the colour. Advisably, it is best to avoid getting black colour cardigans. It is a known fact that black absorbs heat.
A black sweater or cardigan would make you get uncomfortable when the weather gets hot later on in the day. As such, you should choose the colour of sweater or jacket to buy wisely.
4. Below the Knee Clothes
This harmattan would change your taste in clothes, especially if you are more comfortable with short dresses and gowns. Hence, wearing a long gown or dress to cover up your body offers good protection.
It’s not classy to expose dusty legs by wearing short dresses. If you’re still not comfortable with wearing long dresses, then you should consider buying and wearing some pantyhose stockings.
If you are a guy, get comfortable with wearing long trousers instead of shorts.
5. Thick Fabrics
Considering how cold the weather is, it would be irrational to wear light clothes like silk and nylon. As such, it is preferable to wear thick fabrics like cotton, wool, velvets, etc.
It will interest you to know that thick fabrics absorb moisture and keep you warm. You can make this thick fabric into fashionable styles to provide fitting while protecting yourself.
6. Head Wears
The scalp is a part of the body that shouldn’t be exposed during this harmattan. Exposing the scalp to dust can cause dandruff and dryness of the scalp.

To make it classier, you can wear colourful head wears to match your outfit.

Therefore, this is the best time to wear beautiful cover shoes, converse, sneakers, etc.
If you are not the type that would like to wear cover shoes, wearing socks with your regular flat shoes or sandals can be an option.
Ensure you wear clean ones always to keep your feet warm and protected.
A muffler is used around the neck to provide warmth to it. It comes in different colours and sizes. Aside from keeping you warm, it also gives you that cool fashion look.
