While the two lovers have never hidden their love for one another on social media, it wasn’t until recently that the news became official. On her birthday in February 2022, the actor wrote on Instagram, “Na kusa in yi wuff da ke,” meaning I’ll soon marry you. referring to his beau Ummi.
The two have constantly declared their love for each other on Instagram, with Ummi at various times calling him ‘Mijina’ meaning my husband.
Wuff is a common slang used to signify someone getting married to another. It is also the name of the series in which both Lilin Baba and Ummi Rahab star.
Lilin Baba is an actor, musician, and director in the Kannywood industry. Originally from Bama, Borno state Shuaibu Ahmad Abbas as he is known, joined the industry in 2016. Just like Mustapha Nabaraska who washed panties of leading Kannywood actresses before making it in the industry, Lilin Baba has had his fair shares of struggles in the industry. He sold ice blocks in Kano and was also in the car dealing business in Abuja.
A talented singer, Lilin Baba has already featured on tracks with industry greats Umar M Shareef, Hamisu Breaker, and more. The 30 heard old had been awarded the Arewa Best R&B Music Act of the Year by City People Entertainment Award in 2019.

The Saudi Arabian-born actress was initially prohibited from acting in the industry but was later given permission on the condition she won’t exhibit any indecent acts.
She appeared in such movies as Farin Wata Sha Kallo and now Wuff.
The duo started dating recently when Ummi Rahab was still staring in Adam Zango’s Farin Wata series. This caused a rift between the actress and Zango, who was believed to be nursing affections toward her. She was taken off the show when she refused his advances, whom she regards as a father figure and mentor.
This resulted in a massive feud between Zango, Ummi, and Lilin Baba, also a former mentee of Zango.
The two lovers didn’t let that deter them, as their love only got more robust with the two constantly professing love for each other on social media. The two have even appeared in three music videos and one series film.
According to Sir Zeesu, a close friend of Lilin Baba, the bride price has already been paid, and the date has been fixed for the two. The wedding date for Ummi Rahab and Lilin Baba has been fixed for 18th June 2022, by 11 am at Tudun Murtala in Kano.
