Maryam Booth was born in Kano, Nigeria, on the 28th of October 1993, to a family of entertainers. She is the daughter of veteran actress Zainab Booth, one of the Kannywood actors who died in 2021 and a sister to Ahmad ‘Amude’ Booth.
Maryam Booth holds a diploma from Bayero University Kano, and she also graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mantissa College in Malaysia. She also has a postgraduate degree in cinematography and Project Management.
Booth started acting at eight and was brought into the limelight by her acting skills from the hit movie, Dijangala.
She also acted the Milkmaid, a highly acclaimed movie that was submitted for nomination for the Oscars.
