This year, the second TEDx Bayero University event in Kano was hosted at Bayero University where mind-blowing ideas were shared like ice cream in a cone to a junk craving child. He mentioned three short-term benefits of volunteering; access to information, access to network, learning, and capacity building. When volunteering, have a clear roadmap of what you want to achieve, create as much value as you can for the organization you are volunteering in, because the ability to create value stays with you forever.
